PRETTY 3 BEDROOM THATCHED COTTAGE IN HEART OF VILLAGE WITHIN A SHORT WALK OF LULWORTH COVE
Lulworth, situated on the western edge of Purbeck is probably the most famous part of the Jurassic Coast, with a sheltered Cove and rugged, contorted rock formations, and the famous naturally formed Stair Hole and Arch of Durdle Door. The South West Coastal Path will take you eastwards towards Swanage and Studland or westward to Weymouth, passing a variety of headlands, caves, fossils, bays and beaches along the way.
This pretty thatched cottage was built in 1977 on the site of two Nissan Huts that had been used during the Second World War as a munition store. Benefitting from being at the end of this terrace of 3 cottages, this property has an inclined rear garden giving magnificent sea and coastal views from the top.
The Front Door sits under an open thatched porchway and opens in to an Entrance Hall, giving access to all ground floor rooms and stairs. A door opens to the left into a large, full length Lounge/Dining Room with bay south facing front window with thatch over, an open fire (not used) and full width patio doors opening on to the rear garden. The Kitchen is set out with a good selection of wall and floor units can be accessed through an archway from the Lounge or from the Hallway. A good size room with tiled floor and dual aspect windows, allowing good natural light to the room and the back door gives access to the rear garden. Also off the Hallway is a cloakroom with wash basin and w.c.
Stairs lead up to the First Floor with Family Bathroom straight ahead, containing bath with overhead shower, wash basin and w.c. Next to the Bathroom to the rear of the property is the Master Bedroom, a good size double room with window overlooking the rear garden. To the front of the first floor there are Bedrooms 2 & 3, a reasonable size double room and smaller single room both with south facing windows. The airing cupboard is located on the Landing.
Outside – Access to the front of the cottage is via steps through a picket gate, the immediate Garden space to the side and rear of the cottage is decked, with steps to the upper slopes. With the incline catching sun for most of the day this area has great potential and views to the sea and coastline. A great sundowner spot!
Oil fired central heating throughout. Refurbished internally 10 years ago, rewired and combi boiler fitted. There is a large loft space which subject to planning permissions could be opened up, providing one or two extra rooms, similar to the adjacent property.
